Here's the latest that's happening with Jason Ham...

World Premiere of Turrin Euphonium Concerto Pushed Forward!
The world premiere of Joseph Turrin's new Euphonium Concerto, "Monologues", has been pushed forward from it's original premiere date of February 8th, 2007. Mr. Turrin has finished the concerto faster than was previously expected, so the new premiere date will be Wednesday night, October 11, 2006, with the University of Georgia Wind Symphony. Concert Piece No. 1, by Joseph Turrin
Joe Turrin's Concert Piece No. 1 is set to be released on The World of the Euphonium, Vol. 5 on September 9, 2006, featuring Steven Mead on Euphonium. Composed in 2004 for Jason, this work is a tour de force for both soloist and pianist alike. Also having plans to record this work, Jason's future solo CD (planned for 2007) will feature this excellent composition.

A Little Down Time
There's a lot going on now with plans for a great wedding ceremony on September 23, 2006. In the meantime, Jason is taking a much-needed break from performing and touring.

TO KENTUCKY!
Jason has a lot happening in the state of Kentucky within a very short time frame! From October 26-31, 2006, Jason will be visiting the University of Louisville to perform and teach there. While in Louisville, he will also make a guest artist appearance with the Derby City Brass Band. Just a week later, Jason will return to Kentucky as the euphonium guest artist for the University of Kentucky Tuba and Euphonium Day, to be held November 7 in Lexington. Jason will join tuba legend and Chicago Symphony Orchestra tubist Mr. Gene Pokorny in an evening recital during this event.
